It has been a long time since we posted the last blog. We have been busy with life and moving around. Now we kind of settling in for a little bit. The good news is we’re having a new baby! Mummy is pregnant about 24 weeks now. But we still don’t know the baby boy or girl because he/she doesn’t want us to know yet, lol.

Couple weeks ago we started to do some more baking. We made chocolate birthday cake for my friend Luca’s 4th Birthday. This time we made a very special dinosaur land chocolate cake. Rhonda was very excited about this. It turned out really good and everyone at the party loved the cake.

This could be one of the idea what you might like to do for your kid’s upcoming birthday party. It actually was very easy to do.

For all the dinosaur toys decoration you can buy them from the toy shop. They are very handy, your children can play with them after and they can be one of the birthday present.

Let us tell you how we make this cake!

Recipe & ingredients for chocolate cake sponges:

We used the chocolate cake recipe from this link: https://kiderskitchen.food.blog/2019/08/14/super-easy-chocolate-cake/ we double the recipe for 2 layers cake.

Cut the edge of the sponge cake and the top into the nice square or rectangle shape.

Break the cake that we cut into fine crumb. Save it for decoration.

Filling, frosting and decoration:

Filling:

• 12 to 15 Oreo Vanilla Cookie
• 1 cup whipping cream

Instruction for Oreo whipped cream filling:

• Ground Oreo cookie in food processor or smash them in the zip lock bag.
• Whipped the whipping creamy.
• Add ground Oreo cookies in the whipped cream.
• Spread on top of the bottom sponge.

Frosting: we made chocolate ganache.

• 1 cup of your desire chocolate chips
• 1 cup of whipping cream

Instruction for chocolate ganache:

• Warm up the whipping cream in the sauce pan. Just to warm it up not to boil.
• Add warm whipping cream into the chocolate chips bowl, stir until well combine.
• Leave the mixture until it cool down and reach the consistency that can be spread.

Cake decoration:

• Dinosaur Toy
• Chocolate cake crumbed
• 2 big packs of chocolate biscuit rolls.

Decorate the cake follow your design and imagination.
